Commercial renewable energy projects fail at the interface between the asset owner, the EPC contractor, and the DNO. Programme slips. Specifications drift. Performance guarantees get watered down. Six months later, the owner is left with a system that underperforms its design and a warranty argument no one wants to have.

Arc acts as the owner's representative. We govern the EPC contractor on your behalf — managing the programme, reviewing the design, overseeing the grid connection, managing the DNO interface, and certifying the work at each milestone. We are not the contractor; we govern the contractor. The asset owner gets a delivered project that meets the specification it was sold on.

This is the consultancy product for clients who have appointed (or are about to appoint) a third-party EPC contractor. Where you want Arc to actually carry out the build itself, that is the Project Delivery service in our delivery line.

Arc has no preferred contractor and no margin relationship with any supplier. The contractor we govern on your behalf is the contractor your tender selected. We have no financial reason to protect the contractor's position when their interests diverge from yours.

RICS regulation matters here. Owner's representative work sits within the professional standards framework property funds and lenders apply to all construction oversight. ISO 9001 and 14001 certification means our delivery processes are documented and audited.

We are not the engineer carrying out the work. We are the professional managing the engineer. The distinction matters when your investment committee asks who is on your side of the table.
