The brief

A portfolio the owner could not see in one place

The client operates rooftop solar across a national estate of distribution and logistics sites, built out over several years and across several operating businesses. Each tranche had been installed with whichever inverter manufacturer suited the project at the time, so the portfolio ran on a mix of platforms, principally Solis and Huawei, each with its own manufacturer portal, login and way of presenting data.
The result was that no one could see the whole estate in one place. Some systems had been disconnected or switched off for periods, so the earlier data was patchy and inconsistent. The owner needed a single, transparent view of generation across every site, a reliable basis for reporting, and a support structure that worked across the partners involved rather than around each manufacturer in turn.
Our approach

Consolidate the fleet, then trust the data

Arc brought all twenty sites onto a single monitoring platform, working across the mixed inverter estate so that the owner sees one consistent portal rather than several manufacturer systems. Sites were renamed to a single clear convention so each one is identifiable at a glance and the portfolio reads as one estate.
Rather than carry forward an unreliable history, Arc established a clean baseline. With several systems having been disconnected or switched off before April 2026, the earlier record could not be trusted for reporting, so Arc set April 2026 as the starting point and confirmed May 2026 as the first month with complete data across every site. From that point the figures mean what they say.

The work behind the single view

Arc ran the onboarding end to end, across mixed hardware and several operating businesses, with the owner's access and a working support structure as the goal rather than a one-off data pull.

Brought twenty rooftop solar sites onto a single monitoring platform, working across a mixed inverter estate of principally Solis and Huawei systems.

Connectivity resolved

Worked through the connectivity behind each site, including SIM and guest-access arrangements and plant migration with manufacturer support, so sites report reliably rather than intermittently.

Clean data baseline

Set April 2026 as the starting point given the patchy earlier record, and confirmed May 2026 as the first complete-data month across all sites, giving a baseline that can be reported with confidence.

Consistent naming

Applied a single site-naming convention across the estate so every site is identifiable at a glance and the portfolio reads as one whole.

Owner portal access

Set up the client's own portal login so the team can see generation across every site in one place, without depending on individual manufacturer systems.

Support structure

Established an operations and maintenance ticketing workflow so issues are logged and worked across the partners involved, rather than chased manufacturer by manufacturer.

A portfolio the owner can actually manage

The owner now has one transparent view of its rooftop solar estate, with every site on the same platform, named the same way, and reporting against a baseline that can be trusted. Performance can be compared like for like across sites, underperformance shows up where before it was hidden between systems, and the figures support reporting rather than needing to be caveated.
Because the platform and the support structure are set up to take on more, the same approach extends cleanly as further sites are added. Arc's role throughout has been to give the owner a clear, honest picture of what its assets are doing, not to sell a particular system.
